Learning The Types Of Acne
Although it might seem gross learning about the many types
of acne, by learning as much as we can about acne, we can better treat it. One of the old ways of getting rid of evil
spirits was to discover the spirit’s name.
When you knew the name of a spirit, you could command it. It’s the same with knowing about types of
acne. By naming your demon from the
types of acne, you can begin to get rid of it.
Mild Forms of Acne Vulgaris
Vulgaris means “common”, not “repulsive”, in this case. Here are some of the most common types of
acne that you do not need to go to a doctor to treat:
Whiteheads: Also
known as pimples, zits or spots. This is
the classic image of acne, small round pus-and-oil filled globes sticking out
on your face like beacons in the night.
Your pores have gotten clogged with bacteria from dirt, oil, seat, old
makeup, and grease. They are not much to
worry about, but clean the area after it bursts.
Blackheads: Your
pores have only gotten partially clogged, so you get instead of a bright white
pimple, you get a small, less noticeable blackhead. They are fun to pop, although don’t tell your
dermatologist that.
Baby Acne: No, this
isn’t what happens after two pimples fall in love and get married, but one of
the mild types of acne. As the name
suggests, it happens only to newborn or young babies. It is common.
It looks like a smaller version of adult whiteheads. One of the safest treatments is ionic
colloidal silver.
Medium Acne
Pustules: More commonly called “blind pimples” are one of the
most aggravating types of acne. You fee
a pimple coming on. The skin is sore,
raised in a pimple-sized lump, and the skin can be red or pale pink. You itch to pop them, but don’t. That might make things worse. You have to let them go on their own course. If they do pop, they are wide open doors for
infection, so put antibacterial ointment on it.
Severe Acne
These types of acne need the treatment of a doctor or
dermatologist.
Cystic Acne: This
kind of acne leaves large red painful red bumps all over your skin. The pimples rarely pop. They leave permanent scarring. Actor Edward James Olmos had Cyctic acne.
Acne Conglobata: This is a very rare but the most sever form
of acne. It feels like you have boils
all over you. It usually only hits males
between 18-30.
